De Heus buys Polish feed operation
Dutch feed manufacturer De Heus has announced the completion of its acquisition of the Polish activities in animal nutrition of Evialis Polska.
To realise the acquisition De Heus Polska will acquire 100% of the share capital of Evalis Polska sp.z.o.o (Ltd), a 100% subsidiary of Invivo NSA France (formerly known as Evialis France), subject to approval of the Polish antitrust authorities.
The acquired company operates out of two locations in the centre-North of Poland, Walcz and Ilowo. The company is active in the production and sales of complete feeds in pigs, poultry, ruminants and other species like geese and rabbits. It also has a good market position in the so called "backyard feeds" for poultry. Besides complete feeds, the company is also active in concentrates and premixes.
De Heus Polska will integrate the commercial and production activities in its own operations. The goal will be to achieve the highest combined effectiveness of the merged companies.
The acquisition of Evialis Polska fits in the international strategy of De Heus, focusing on strong local presence and growth in markets with a high agricultural potential. The Polish market already offers these opportunities and the acquisition will help De Heus Polska move forward, sources said.
