India's Bionova launches Nevipro to improve protein digestibility
Bangalore-based application research and formulation company, Bionova, has introduced biomolecular formulation Nevipro that improves protein digestibility in birds.
With the usage of Nevipro in feed, feed manufacturers will be now able to reduce the feed cost up to Rs. 100 (US$1.65) per tonne of feed.
The presence of high levels of anti-nutritional factors in soy and corn (like trypsin inhibitors, protease inhibitors, tannins, pectins, phytic acid etc.) causes substantial reductions in protein and amino acid digestibility (up to 50%) in poultry. The biomolecular actives in Nevipro help in increasing the bioavailability of protein and amino acids during digestion. It sets the right gut environment that leads to optimum absorption of nutrients.
The company has actively conducted several commercial trials and the product is now available in the market through its distribution channels in the southern states of the country.
