South Korea strengthens cooperation with Ecuador on aquaculture
In order to strengthen ties of cooperation between Research Laboratory Korea-Peru on Science and Technology for Latin America (KIOST) and the National Fisheries Institute (INP), the South Korean delegation, headed by Bong Suk Chool, has visited Ecuador.
Edwin Moncayo, director of the INP, welcomed the Korean delegation, saying that the exchange of experiences in the area will strengthen the technical skills of each country.
Myoung-Goo Jung introduced the aquacultureand breeding programme in marine farms to be held in Korea.
Issues on annual fish production, fish commodities, demand for fish products, commercial fish species, and fisheries production in Korea and the rest of the world are to be addressed during the meeting.
A Memorandum of Understanding is planned between INP and KIOST to be signed in November 2013.
