Premier Li: China-CEE summit to boost bilateral cooperation

BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang says the just-concluded China-Central and Eastern European leaders'' meeting and the action guideline issued after the conference will promote China''s cooperation with Central and Eastern European nations.

 

He made the remarks at a press conference after the China-Central and Eastern European summit.

 

According to the premier, China and Romania have decided to set up working groups on major infrastructure cooperation projects. He said a number of countries have also expressed interest in discussing cooperation with China in the energy sector, and China is willing to consider importing more safe and high-quality agricultural and farm products from the Central and Eastern European countries.

 

Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta also attended the press conference. He noted that the Central and Eastern European countries are willing to work together with China to implement the meeting's achievements and expand cooperation. Ponta said China has made great achievements in high-speed railway development, and the Central and Eastern European countries are willing to cooperate with China in this area.
