Danish Aller Aqua inaugurates fish feed factory in Egypt
Denmark-based fish feed producer Aller Aqua Group A/S officially inaugurated a new fish feed factory in Egypt on March 3.
In cooperation with IFU (Investment Fund for Developing Countries), the company bought the majority of an Egyptian family company in 2011, and last year it completed the country's largest and most modern production plant of environmentally friendly, extruded fish feed.
"The momentum we have managed to create in Egypt since 2011 creates the basis for this extraordinary expansion, giving us the opportunity to triple sales," explained Henrik Halken, chairman of
Aller Aqua Egypt.
Hans Erik Bylling, managing director of the Aller Aqua Group, stressed that the company now sells its fish feed to more than 50 countries worldwide.
Bylling added, "2014 has been a busy year for us, as we have further inaugurated our new research centre in Büsum, Germany. This helps bring us to the forefront in the development of new efficient types of feed- with increased focus on better utilisation of raw materials."
