Selected non-staple agri-food prices - 16th week of 2015

Pork prices continue to rise while egg price stops dropping and vegetable prices continue to drop slightly

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 16th week of 2015 (April 20-26, 2015) is 204.51 (year 2000=100), decreasing by 0.82 point from the previous week. The Nationwide Non-staple Agri-food Wholesale Price Index is 206.05, decreasing by 1.10 points from the previous week. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 intensively monitored wholesale markets is 677,100 tons, increasing by 1.3% from the previous week.

1.   The price rose for the first time after dropping slightly for 9 consecutive weeks.

2.   The price rose slightly for 3 consecutive weeks.

3.   The total trade volume in 50 intensively monitored major wholesale markets.

4.   Out of the 28 intensively monitored vegetables, 8 witnessed price increase, 19 saw price drop, and the other one remained the same compared with the previous week .

5.   The price decrease was within 5% to 10%.

6.  The price change was within 5%.
