China’s coal giant Shenhua Group lowered the price of Grade II met coke by 30 yuan/t, effective from 18:00, October 20, industry portal China Coal Resource has learned.The group is now offering 765 yuan/t for Grade II met coke delivered at Tangshan in Hebei province, exclusive of empty return charge; while the price of Grade I met coke is kept stable at 850 yuan/t, delivered basis.China’s coke market remained relatively stable in October, with a slight price drop in some areas. It may continue the downward trend in late October, given the decreased operation rates of steel mills.
