Egg prices stayed low despite rebounding of late, hence dampening the demand for layer feed. This, together with limited piglet and broiler inventories, exerted pressure on the methionine market.
   

Price quotes of imported dl-methionine moved lower to the range of RMB30-31/kg.
   

Methionine sales are poised to remain limited with livestock feed production at yearly low levels.
